Optus was the target of a cyber attack that has compromised the data of up to 10-million current and former business and personal customers.
Information which may have been exposed includes customers' names, dates of birth, phone numbers, email addresses, and, for a subset of customers (possible around 3-million), addresses, ID document numbers such as driver's licence or passport numbers.
The same hacker forums list tens of thousands of mortgage customers - most often the result of unvetted offshore systems that fail to apply appropriate encryption (we spoke to one of the impacted a couple of months ago, and their storage device for all data was OneDrive - crazy).
Pictired is what might be a current or former hack.
