New Lambton Police Station, Regent Street, New Lambton, New South Wales, February 1915. In 1938 an Act of the New South Wales Parliament created the "City of Greater Newcastle", which incorporated eleven municipalities, including New Lambton,into one local government area.. The area is located about 6 km west of the Newcastle CBD. The area is now primarily serviced by Waratah police.
