There are social services that take great pride in providing an online calendar for the purpose of scheduling your social media. It's an acceptable option, but it's just another service that'll require a subscription, and it's just another service that'll keep your data once you leave. We've reinvented the method of sending content to social media by way of a dedicated Social Media Outlook calendar. Via a standard and dedicated calendar in Microsoft Outlook, you will be able to schedule, edit, delete, and publish social media posts to one or more social media networks. Because Yabber is a Microsoft-integrated system, your systems are further integrated into a single standalone and powerful platform.
As we details in the FAQ on managed social media content, we will send managed social media content to your Vista calendar giving you time to edit, review, or delete the content before it makes its way to social. This important function satisfies an important compliance obligation that is often ignored.
Vista is also used by us to send content to you when we think it might be useful. This might include Facebook ad scripts, images, video, or other content. This holistic methodology turns the simple Vista calendar into a complete hub for your social media and general content.
Testimonial Images: A number of other systems will integrate with Vista, such as the Testimonials module. When a testimonial is ingested, we'll create a number of testimonial images for social media. These images will be sent to Vista for your review. The post will not send - Vista is used as a delivery method to provide you with the images. You may then use the content within the same system to create a post and send.
You don't need to hear the value of Vista because you're already using it. This FAQ will simply look at how to use the calendar to post to Social Media.
Extremely Powerful Social Tool: We'd argue that the Vista feature is the most powerful social media tool in the industry. We hope that the ease of use and powerful features encourages you to build a consistent, compelling, and engaging social media content program. Also consider using Instagratify for content sent via Instagram.
Requirements
There's an assumption made that you have connected the required social media accounts in Yabber, and you have created a Vista calendar and registered it in Yabber.
We also assume that you have set up social media filtering rules in Instagratify as Vista will use the same rule distribution schedule.
Creating a Vista Post
For our demo, we'll be using the online version of Microsoft Outlook, although the system is far easier in the desktop version. In all cases where media is attached, the images and video should be created as attachments - don't include them as inline content.
Creating the basic social content is reasonably intuitive. The title of your social post is required (particularly if the content is sent to your website), and the calendar text field is used for your social text. You should add any images or video via the attachment option.
The important field is the 'Location' field. Normally reserved for rooms or other resources, we'll include our distribution hashtags in this text area. In our case, we'll use the single hashtag of testy
(without the hash) - this will send the content to a test Facebook and LinkedIn page. Had we required broader distribution, we might have included the beliefmedia
hashtag which sends to a large number of platforms, or we might have selectively applied hashtags for custom distribution. Most businesses will have a fairly common distribution profile, so they might only use a single 'companyname
' hashtag. It's common to use a standalone tag for your personal LinkedIn profile as it's here where you tend to represent yourself and content a little differently.

Within seconds you will see the unsent but scheduled post in Vista. You will find the 'Vista Posts' table via the 'Vista Social Posts' submenu item. This is a record only - you're operating from within Outlook and shouldn't have to reference Yabber. If it's scheduled in Vista you can assume it's also scheduled in Yabber.
Until the post is sent you may continue to update or edit. Once the post is sent, any changes will not be saved.

Note that the post is showing as not sent.
Once the social post is processed (after the scheduled time), the article is scheduled to each of the destination networks. The post will send on a short schedule to each of the defined destination networks.
Multiple hashtags are included in the 'Location' field as a comma
,delimited
,string
with no spaces.
The Result
The result is as you would expect: a social post on the applicable social network. The image below shows the result on Facebook.
Pictured: The result is as you would expect: a social post on the applicable social network. The pictured screenshot was taken on a test Facebook page.
The result on LinkedIn is also a social post as expected (in this case we sent to a test Company Page).
A URL in the Post Content
If a URL is found in the post content, the resulting social media post may be sent to one or more networks as a 'link post'. This action is normally determined in the Social Settings panel, although if not defined, Yabber will determine the most suitable format.
The URL is altered to include appropriate tracking tags. These tags are then used (in part) to associate website pathway stats with social content from various sources (each link to each network will be different but connected via a common 'Social Campaign' parameter).
Video is Accepted
A single video is accepted as a post. The resulting video is sent to Facebook, LinkedIn, your website, YouTube, or anywhere else you have defined by way of your distribution hashtags.
Vista and Social Statistics
Statistics specific to Vista are returned via the 'Statistics' panel, although the aggregated social statistics are also made available within the Social module. The aggregated statistics will indicate what platform the visiting user originated. Visit the stats and play around to get a feel for the data returned.
Each groups of the same social post is part of a 'Social Campaign'. The campaign stats are available within the 'Social' module. The primary purpose of the campaign module is to resolve the success of social activity by way of determining the ongoing page views and conversions.
Website statistics show bigger-picture integrated social statistics in that they indicate the source of social traffic. Remember, your website and social systems are intrinsically connected, so the associated of social data with website traffic and conversions is essential.
Linked Statistical Data: We've linked to statistical panels. This data was sourced from a single broker that has a good social presence although we've obfuscated identifying data. The social engagement shown in the LinkedIn images translates to around 4 website conversions per day.
When a user lands on your website from social sources, and assuming that user was previously identified via any means, we're able to match the social engagement with the user (via the BMUID). High level campaigns will include social triggers, meaning that we're able to further escalate a user via emails, text messaging, and so on, on the basis of their navigation.
You have some very advanced functionality available to you, so there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to leverage your social media program in a way that'd make your competitors' fuzzy heads explode.
Note: A large number of Vista features were excluded from this FAQ for brevity. Other articles will introduce additional features.

We've shared FAQs that showed you how to create Wistia video customisations, sharing profiles, turnstiles, and postroll CTA profiles (all linked below). This FAQ will show you how to update an individual video or all videos that are part of a project.
About Wistia
Wistia is a third-party service that provides videos hosting for a monthly subscription. It is quite costly, but the platform does provide for three free videos and we encourage all our users to sign up for this offer.
Wistia provides a large number of integrated video features that enable far greater insights into video performance when compared to platforms such as YouTube, and the level of statistical data returned for each user is significant.
Yabber integrates with Wistia in such a way that we effectively emulate most features of that service. This tight level of connectivity enables features such as the email collection turnstiles (or email capture form 'gates' within a video) to be used for engagement and not just consumption.
This FAQ should be read in company with those listed below since when you're updating a video you'll generally update all of the profiles shown at the same time.

- Video Midroll Annotations
- Postroll Call-to-Action
- Video Sharing Profiles

Wistia Source - Yabber/Wistia or Elementor

If the source is set to 'Elementor', all Yabber and Wistia options are ignored, and if set to Yabber, all Elementor options are ignored.
Using Yabber profiles and options are obviously preferred since you may globally update all videos as required, and options can be applied without messing around within your website.
