Nicole Smith, former chairwoman of National Australia Bank's superannuation trustee NULIS, is being questioned over the conflict of interest between profits to shareholders and returns to fund members, financial advice fees charged to some NAB customers despite no adviser being assigned to them as well as fees being charged to dead customers, and NAB's dealings with ASIC over those incidents.
