Virgin Australia’s Inaugural Boeing 777 Service and Launch Party, 2009

On February 27, 2009, now 13 years ago, I crewed Virgin's inaugural flight from Sydney to Los Angeles (Boeing 777-32GER VH-VOZ, 'Didgeree Blue', operating as VA-001) alongside Ken Pascoe and others.

Pictured are some random images of the flight, and some taken at the launch party in LA.

BeliefMedia built the learning management system for Virgin (coded fully in house, and CASA certified), built the LMS content and managed support, managed parts of the marketing department, ran some of their event photography, put together over 50 hours of Boeing 777 training videos (with Ken Pascoe), manufactured safety videos, and general media content. All before the first aircraft launched.

Despite my questionable sobriety on the night of the launch party I enjoyed some time with Richard Branson. He said he'd do anything to keep me In the company, but if I was still with them in 5 years he'd sack me on the spot.
